Pierson SUBJECT: Qualified Zone Academy Bonds (QZABs) The United States Department of Education has recently informed us that Florida’s share of Qualified Zone Academy Bond (QZAB) authority has increased by $23,799,000 for the 2003 fiscal year. Florida’s allocation for fiscal year 2002 was $19,196,000. This gives Florida a total of $42,995,000 in bonding authority. The Office of Educational Facilities is extending the deadline of March 1, 2003, for submission of applications for QZAB consideration until March 21, 2003.
