  • SAMPLE Dear Parent: The 2003 Florida Legislature passed a new law that applies to certain high school students with disabilities, including those who are seniors in the Class of 2003. This law provides an additional graduation option for certain students with disabilities. Students with disabilities who are seniors and meet the following criteria may be considered for a waiver from passing the Grade 10 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT): ? have a current individual educational plan (IEP) ? meet the state's 24 academic credit/course and 2.0 grade point average requirements, and any other district requirements, for graduation with a standard diploma ? are experiencing difficulty ...
