SUBJECT:
2003 DOE Information Database Workshop
The Florida Department of Education will conduct its annual database
workshop on June 10, 11, and 12 at the Hilton St. Petersburg.
This
year, we will cover updates in procedures and requirements related to
the DOE Information Database system.
In addition, the workshop will provide an overview of the state’s
current student, staff, and finance database requirements for both
technical and program staff in your district.
We will also have
someone from the General Council’s office speaking about the Family
Education Rights and Privacy Act. A tentative list of agenda topics is
available at http://www.firn.edu/doe/databaseworkshop/
All registration must be completed on-line at the following site
http://www.firn.edu/doe/databaseworkshop/.
Additional hotel and meeting information is attached. If you have any
questions or need further assistance, please contact Arlene Roberts at
(850) 487-2280 or SC 277-2280 or e-mail arlene.roberts@fldoe.org.
We look forward to a good turnout this year. Last year, more than 600
district-level and school-level people participated.
With your
participation, we’ll do our best to make this a productive and
successful workshop.
