Florida School Readiness Performance Standards

We are pleased to inform you about the online availability of the Florida

School Readiness Performance Standards for Three-, Four-, and Five-Year-Old

Children. The Florida Performance Standards reflect the work of the Florida

Partnership for School Readiness and many stakeholders committed to quality

early education and care services. These standards communicate what we know

about young children and what young children should be able to do along the

developmental continuum. The standards are organized by six developmental

areas including physical health, approaches to learning, social/emotional

development, language/communication, cognitive development, and motor

development. The standards for five-year-old children are cross-referenced to

the Sunshine State Standards.
