Calendars
As you know, Rule 6A-14.004, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), requires all
community colleges to submit an annual academic calendar that meets the
minimum number of days requirement and the common entry periods requirement.
Enclosed is a sample calendar format for the colleges to follow that will simplify
the process and bring consistency to the way in which each college’s specific
calendar information is submitted to our offices.
Please follow this model when
you submit the 2003-2004 calendar to our office.
I am providing a copy of Rule 6A-14.004, F.A.C. for your convenience in
developing your academic calendar. Also, this is a reminder that calendars are due
to this office by
March 15
each year. If you have already submitted your
calendar, it is not necessary that you send another one. However, if you did not
follow the sample formatting, please do so when you submit future calendars.
Thank you for your assistance and cooperation in making this a more efficient
process. Please see that the appropriate person at your college receives this
information concerning the calendar submission process.
