SUBJECT: Florida’s Career Resource Network Seminar
The Division of Workforce Development, in conjunction with the Florida Career
Development Association, will present a Career Resource Network Seminar on January
22-23, 2003, in Jacksonville at the Omni Jacksonville Hotel, 245 Water Street. Featured
speakers include Dr. Robert Myrick, University of Florida.
Registration will be $30. Please make checks payable to “FCDA” (Florida Career
Development Association). No purchase orders will be accepted. The attached
registration form and payment should be submitted no later than January 10, 2003. The
seminar is limited to 100 participants.
A small block of rooms has been reserved. The rate is $85 single or double.
Please call the Omni at 904-355-6664 and ask for the Department of Education meeting
to receive this rate. The cut-off date is January 4, 2003, for making hotel reservations.
A separate workshop, Real Game Train-the-Trainer, will be held on January 24,
2003. There is no registration fee, but you are required to purchase the Real Game Kit.
Please issue a purchase order payable to the Department of Education in the amount of
$175. Attendance will be limited to 20 participants. We will offer training on the Real
Game (Grades 7 & 8) and Be Real Game (Grades 9 & 10). If you would like to learn
