Grant Tip
BE SURE -- before spending valuable time preparing a grant proposal!
Before preparing a proposal for funding,
always verify the availability, eligibility and
instructions with the funding source
.
Proposal preparation consumes valuable staff time. Be
sure that time is well spent.
Many grant programs post applications for proposals as well as contact information on their Web
site. In addition to giving the application a very careful read through, get in touch with the
contact person and ask the necessary questions to verify: availability, eligibility and instructions.
Perform this task early on in the process. That way you will know whether to proceed and how
to proceed. Good luck!
