    Title I Fund Allocation for Eligible Non-Public School Children
    The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB), Section 1120 (a)(4) requires that,
    “Expenditures for educational services and other benefits to eligible private school
    children shall be equal to the proportion of funds allocated to participating school
    attendance areas based on the number of children from low-income families who attend
    private schools.” The State often receives requests for pertinent information on this
    subject from Federal, not-for-profit, and private agencies. In an effort to provide
    accurate information to these organizations in an expeditious manner, your assistance
    is necessary. Please take time to fill out the attached form and return it to our office by
    the close of business on December 27, 2002.
