INSTRUCTIONS
TITLE I PROGRAMS
SELF EVALUATION
After the Local Educational Agency (LEA) completes the monitoring of Title I
programs using the self-evaluation workpapers, it shall submit to the State Educational
Agency (SEA) the entire workpapers and the district’s staffing allocation plan, in addition to
assurances and determination of compliance forms with appropriate signatures.
The LEA
shall use page 72 to address any adverse findings and corrective actions by component and
program area and return the workpapers by March 28, 2003 to:

ASSURANCES

The LEA will annually rank all of its schools and serve eligible attendance areas consistent with federal
requirements.

The LEA will use Title I funds to supplement the amount of funds that would, in the absence of Title I funds, be
made available from non-federal sources for the education of pupils participating in the programs and not to
supplant such funds.
