SUBJECT: 2003 QUALITY ASSURANCE STANDARDS FOR EDUCATIONAL

PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS IN DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE JUSTICE

FACILITIES

We are pleased to announce three regional meetings to disseminate the 2003 Quality

Assurance Standards. These meetings are designed for school district dropout prevention

coordinators, ESE directors, workforce development personnel, juvenile justice education lead

teachers, and juvenile justice facility administrators. The agenda will feature the revised

Educational Standards for 2003, updates related to technical assistance and corrective action

plans, and recognition of the Regional Juvenile Justice Teachers of the Year.

Please find attached schedule and hotel information. Please return the enclosed Registration

Form to register for this meeting.

Each participant must complete a separate registration

form.

The form must be faxed or emailed to Linda Harris as soon as possible, but no later than

one week prior to the meeting you will be attending.

We look forward to working with district and agency personnel to continue providing quality

educational programs for students in Department of Juvenile Justice facilities.
