SUBJECT:
2001 Florida Public High School Graduates FTE and Dual Enrolled
History
Attached is a chart that reflects enrollment of 24,455 non-weighted FTE generated
by the 2001 Florida public high school graduates. This amount represents 9.1% of
the total FTE of 267,486 (based on 30 credit hours) reported in 2001-2002.
Also, attached is a ten-year comparison of dual enrollment. In 1991-1992, the
dual enrollment for the system was 4,694 FTE. Since that time, dual enrollment
has grown to a total of 9,892 FTE, which is an increase of 110.7%. For small
colleges, this is a significant part of their credit enrollment. Several colleges, such
as Broward, Daytona Beach, Palm Beach and Valencia, have had the most
dramatic growth; however, two colleges declined over the ten-year period.
