Dollars to the Classroom – 2002-03 Initial Report
In accordance with Section 236.08102, F.S., school districts that failed to meet the
minimum academic performance standards specified by the 2002 General
Appropriations Act are required to submit an initial report for 2002-03 to the
Department within 30 days after final budget approval. The report includes (1)
proposed budget actions identified for increased classroom expenditures, (2) a
description of how such actions are designed to improve student achievement, and
(3) a copy of the published statement required by Section 237.081(3), F.S. Please
use the attached form to report items (1) and (2). The budget summary ad with
the published statement required by Section 237.081(3),
F.S., is currently
submitted with the district summary budget (item 3); therefore, this information
does not need to be included with the initial report.
