The Division of Career and Adult Education is sponsor
ing a conference call for potential applicants for
grants to develop and/or improve programs that assist adults in transitioning from adult education to
postsecondary education.
The Department of Education is seeking applications for proposed de
monstration projects that focus on
transition programs to support adults enrolled in Adult Basic Education (ABE), English as a Second
Language (ESL), Adult Se
condary Education (ASE), and/or General Educational Development (GED)
These federal funds are authorized under the Workforce Investment Act, Incentive Grant. Total funding
available through t
he competitive process is $900,000 for up to nine grant awards. Applications are due
November 17, 2009.
