Request for Submission of 2009-2010 Interinstitutional Articulation Agreements
The Interinstitutional Articulation Agreement (IAA), as required by section 1007.235, Florida Statutes,
provides evidence of cooperative and collaborative secondary to postsecondary partnerships and commit-
ment to seamless K-20 education. Each year, school districts and Florida colleges must update these
agreements prior to the fall term and submit them to the Florida Department of Education, Office of
Articulation, for review.
This year, all IAAs must be submitted electronically using a new web-based electronic submission system.
This electronic format is based on the sample format that served as a guide to formulate IAAs in previous
years. The system is set up so that each college will be provided a login and password and will submit
separate IAAs for each school district within its service area. Login information will be sent to college
contacts separately.
Once an IAA is submitted in this format, future updates can be made to the existing agreement without the
need to resubmit the entire IAA. Additionally, the new format will ensure that the agreements are complete
with appropriate information within each item. The online format will also allow for public access to all
agreements. The system is equipped with tips to submit IAAs electronically and “Help” links within each
section to assist in completing each of the statutorily required elements of the agreement.
Please remember to include the following in your agreements:
?
Details regarding the Remedial Reduction Plan developed as a result of the requirements of
Senate Bill 1908 for expanded postsecondary readiness assessments and remediation
opportunities
?
Incorporation of the Early College/
Dual Enrollment Statement of Standards
