What I Learned in VPK! Teacher’s Guide and Child Portfolio
We are pleased to announce a new, free teacher resource available to all Voluntary Prekindergarten
(VPK) Education programs. The
What I Learned in VPK! Teacher’s Guide
and accompanying
Child
Portfolio
are designed as a means for teachers to communicate with parents about their child’s progress
in meeting the VPK Education Standards by the end of the VPK experience.
The information included in both documents aligns with the Florida VPK Education Standards and online
resources for teachers and parents. The
Teacher’s Guide
gives valuable information about how a teacher
can complete a
Child Portfolio
for each child. The
Child Portfolio
is given to parents at the end of VPK,
and parents can share information about their child’s growth and development when enrolling their child
in kindergarten.
The Teacher’s Guide and Child Portfolio are available as PDF files. They can be viewed, saved and
printed from the Office of Early Learning’s Web site at www.fldoe.org/earlylearning.
