SUBJECT:
2009-2010 Workforce Education Tuition and Fees
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide school districts with the information necessary to
establish tuition and fees for adult and postsecondary workforce education programs for 2009-2010.
There have been changes in the standard tuition requirement for the 2009-2010 year.
As of July 1,
2009, the standard tuition has increased eight percent (8%) from the previous year. In
addition, school districts are permitted to collect a separate technology fee (not to exceed five
percent (5%) of tuition) for the purpose of enhancing instructional technology resources for
students and faculty
.
Please see the attachment for a specific explanation of the changes and new
requirements.
