SUBJECT: Early Childhood Component Survey—2002/2003

Attached you will find a survey designed to obtain information regarding the Title I, Part

A preschool programs and early childhood activities being conducted in your district.

Previously this information was obtained from the Title I project application that your

district submitted annually. The 2002-2003 project application did not include this

component; therefore, in an effort to maintain this data at the State level, we are asking

that the attached survey be completed and returned to our office by October 25, 2002.

Having this data will assist us in readily providing requested information to other

federal/state agencies. If this component does not apply to your district, please indicate

“N/A”.
