Pre-Ordering of Print Materials for the FAIR—
DEADLINE April 24, 2009
In order to ensure timely and accurate summer delivery of print materials for the new Florida
Assessments for Instruction in Reading (FAIR), it will be necessary for each school to accurately project
the number of teacher kits that will be ordered. Pre-ordering is
required
for any school choosing to use
the FAIR in the fall of 2009; however, you will be able to increase your final order based on increased
need. Schools that do not place a pre-order will
not
be eligible to receive FAIR print materials. Please
access the following link to pre-order materials:
www.justreadfl.com.

Once you have accessed the link, you must enter your contact information. You will then choose your
district, school, and enter the projected number of teacher kits that will be needed at each grade level
served by your school. Please note that in grades K-2, you have a choice of two different kits. The first
kit is for those teachers who will utilize the electronic scoring tool (EST) with data automatically reported
to the Progress Monitoring and Reporting Network (PMRN). The second kit is for those teachers who
will administer the assessments via paper and pencil and hand enter the data into the PMRN. The two
kits are identical except for the number of student score booklets (SSB) contained in each. Teachers who
are using the EST will not need student score booklets, but one SSB is included in each kit for reference.
Only one kit should be ordered per teacher
. In these difficult budget times, it is essential that kits only
be pre-ordered for those teachers who will be administering the assessments, typically those who provide
basic reading instruction or reading intervention directly to students. Again, you will be able to increase
your final order based on increased need.
Pre-orders must be completed by April 24, 2009
.
