Families Building Better Readers Project
The Florida Department of Education is proud to announce that the Families Building Better Readers
Project (FBBR) is now a collaborative effort by the Just Read, Florida! Office and the Panhandle Area
Educational Consortium (PAEC).
We would like to encourage each of your schools to take part in the FBBR programs! FBBR is a
dynamic reading workshop for parents and children in the elementary, middle and high school grades.
The staff at PAEC schedules and coordinates Families Building Better Readers, Mysteries in the Middle
and High School Quiz Show workshops across the state. Dr. Angela Martin, lead trainer and developer of
the programs, continues to conduct regional train the trainer workshops for elementary and middle grades
while Anita S. Rogers, M.Ed, continues to conduct regional high school workshops.
To request a family workshop for elementary, middle or high school grades, please contact PAEC or visit
their website at www.familiesandeducators.org. If you are interested in more information regarding
becoming a certified field trainer, please contact PAEC at fbbrinfo@paec.org or (850) 410-0213.
All materials are copyrighted, but permission for free use is granted to schools by the Florida Department

These wonderful parent involvement programs are a great way to increase literacy for children of all
ages as well as adults. Make plans now to participate in these outstanding programs!
