SUBJECT: Florida Network of Arts Administrators Conference
Florida Network of Arts
Administrators
(
FNAA
). This dynamic one-day conference, focused on “Common Ground: Changing
Perspectives,” will be held on June 19, 2008, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando. The keynote address
will be given by Doug Herbert, Special Assistant for Teacher Quality and Arts Education, U.S.
Department of Education. The conference will close with remarks by Jim Warford, CEO of the Florida
Association of School Administrators.
The conference is designed so that every administrator – new or experienced – will find sessions of high
interest. Sessions are also designed to support the issues foremost on every school campus in the state,
particularly those related to curriculum, scheduling, and budget.
Sessions
“Common Ground: Changing Perspectives” provides an excellent opportunity for administrator-specific
professional development and networking. Numerous breakout sessions will target administrative needs
in both traditional and arts-specific school settings. Break-out sessions will include:

scheduling

2008 Arts Administrator of the Year

Two awards will be presented by

; one for an arts-specific administrator and one for a traditional
school administrator. Recipients will receive a free conference registration for the 2009
