SUBJECT: ADDITIONAL RESOURCES PROVIDED BY THE WILLIAM CECIL
GOLDEN SCHOOL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The Florida Department of Education
William Cecil Golden School Leadership Development
Program (WCG)
is pleased to announce the availability of additional high-quality professional
development resources to support Florida’s university and district school leadership development
programs.
The Accelerated School Administrator Program (ASAP)
developed by the Council for
Educational Change and ETraffic Solutions has been successfully incorporated into many district
leadership development programs throughout Florida. The ASAP modules provide high-quality,
interactive learning in content areas that are aligned with and support Florida’s principal
leadership standards. Each module is rich with multimedia elements, written content, and
reference materials. Real-world assignments make the subject matter relevant to the workplace.

The Council for Educational Change
, as a primary partner in our statewide WCG School
Leadership Development Program, is making these modules available
at no cost
to Florida
educators
using the www.floridaschoolleaders.org website through a licensing agreement with
the WCG Program.
This licensing agreement will allow Florida educators free use of the ASAP modules, integrating
them with other tools, resources and activities accessed by the program and website. Each
module contains a pre-and-post assessment that is reflected in the participant’s electronic
Individual Leadership Development Progress Plan.
To assist in planning your district and university school leadership development programs for
approval under the new State Board of Education Rule 6A-5.081, we are providing the module
titles and tentative dates that they will be made available through the website. As with all
content on the website, when each module is added, it will be included in the crosswalk of the
specific Principal Leadership Standards that the module directly supports.
