Parking: The Orlando Regional Meeting will be held at the Teaching Academy on the
main campus of the University of Central Florida. All visitors must park in student
lots (they are identified by green signs and are designated as "D" lots). You may also
park in the parking garages on campus.
Reading First
Professional Development
(RFPD) has driving directions and parking lot locations listed at
http://rfpd.ucf.edu/about/d2meeting.html.
You will be required to display a daily visitor parking pass. Email rfpd@mail.ucf.edu
with the subject line "K-12 Comprehensive Reading Plan Parking Pass Request",
include your name, mailing address, number of requested passes and they will be
mailed to you free of charge. Requests must be received by Thursday, January 24,
2008. Otherwise, you will need to purchase a daily pass for $5 at any meter in the
student lots or your vehicle will be ticketed. Additionally, if you park in any other lot
(Red Faculty Lots or Blue Staff lots) your vehicle will be ticketed, even if you display
a daily visitor pass.
Student and visitor parking is scarce on the main campus during January, so it is
advised that you plan to arrive early. If you have any questions, please call RFPD at
407-823-1194.
