LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE FOR DISTRICT LIBRARY
MEDIA SUPERVISORS, September 30 – October 1, 2002
The Department of Education, in cooperation with the Florida Association of
Supervisors of Media, is holding its annual conference for district-level library
media supervisors and contact persons. The conference will be held in Tallahassee
at the Leon District Media Center, 3955 W. Pensacola Street, beginning at 9:30
a.m. on Monday, September 30, and ending at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Select Hotel, 316 West
Tennessee Street. Room reservations should be made directly with the hotel (850-
222-9555) prior to September 16. When making reservations, please reference the
DOE Media/FCITL room block in order to receive the conference room rate of
$72 single or double occupancy.
Conference topics will address district-level administrative, management, and
program development issues related to school library media services and
Department of Education programs impacting those services. Supervisors
attending the conference are requested to bring samples of district developed
media resources for display. Supervisors should respond to Sandy Ulm by email
or by returning the attached form if they plan to attend.
