The purpose of this memorandum is to announce the Department’s 2007-2008 SUCCEED,
Florida funding list for the fiscal year.
The 2007 Legislative Session authorized funds to be awarded on a competitive basis to
secondary, postsecondary, and undergraduate educational institutions in Florida. The purpose of
these funds is to establish secondary Career and Professional Academies (CAP); expand or
implement new school district postsecondary programs, and increase the capacity of
undergraduate programs in critical areas identified in legislative appropriation. The SUCCEED
Florida initiative is aligned with the Department’s strategic imperative to develop a Skilled
Workforce and improve Economic Development in the state of Florida.
