SUBJECT: GOVERNOR’S SUMMER PROGRAM - CALL FOR APPLICATIONS, SUMMER 2008

 

We are pleased to advise you that the 2007 Florida Legislature included the Governor’s Summer Program in the

specific appropriations to coordinate efforts to promote higher student learning. The Department of Education

(DOE) has allocated $215,575 to continue this program for outstanding secondary gifted or high-achieving

students, enabling them to participate in programs and use the resources of the universities and colleges in the

state of Florida. You are invited to submit an application on behalf of your institution. We appreciate your

interest in this program and look forward to the implementation of outstanding summer programs for Florida’s

gifted and high-achieving students.
