The Florida Department of Education, Division of Workforce Education, announces the re-
advertisement of 2007-2008 funding opportunities for Adult General Education and English Literacy and
Civics Education for specified counties. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Education,
Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE).

The purpose of these funds is to create voluntary partnerships between federal and state
governments and localities to serve the state of Florida’s Adult, English Literacy and Civics
Education student populations. All funds will be awarded to support the Florida Department of
Education’s goal to align Workforce Education programs with the skill requirements of the new
economy.
