PROPOSALS
We are pleased to provide you with electronic access to the Request for Proposal (RFP) for
development of the
Mathematics and Science Partnership – Solutions for Florida’s Future
application. The documents provide guidance and instructions necessary to apply for competitive
funding to establish a partnership consisting of a high-need Local Education Agency (LEA), as
defined in the RFP; science, mathematics, and engineering departments within public or private
universities and colleges; and other partners, as described in the RFP. The focus of the RFP is on
teacher professional development for the new mathematics and science content standards. The
competitive RFP and application documents may be accessed from the following Web site:

Questions should be directed to Mr. Todd Clark, Deputy Director, Office of Mathematics and
Science. All questions with answers and information regarding changes to the RFP will be
posted on the Program Office Web site noted above. The last date that questions will be received
is October 4, 2007. Due to the competitive nature of this grant, questions will not be answered on
