ONLINE 2005-2006 SAFE SCHOOLS APPROPRIATIONS
EXPENDITURES SURVEY OF ACTIVITIES – DUE AUGUST 31, 2007
Each year, the Department of Education collects, via a web-based survey, fiscal
information and a summary of activities supported by the state Safe Schools
Appropriation from the districts. The results will be summarized in the 2005-2006 Safe
Schools Appropriations Expenditures Report. Documentation of proven programs and
activities, which support a safe learning environment, assists all our collective efforts to
increase student achievement. Therefore, it is imperative each district ensures the
accuracy of the data. Please note this report should not reflect activities funded by the
federal Safe and Drug-Free Schools (SDFS) Program, and districts are asked to have
the SDFS Coordinator review the report to ensure no federally supported prevention
activities are reported.
In order to access the survey at the Department of Education Web site, your district
representative should contact Michael T. Turner, at Michael.Turner@fldoe.org or (850)
245-9977, to obtain the password for your district and additional instructions.

The deadline to complete the survey is August 31, 2007. After that date, no one will be
able to enter data and submit the report online.
