SPECIFIC FUNDING AUTHORITY(IES):
2007 General Appropriations Act,
Section 2, Line Item #99.
 
PURPOSE OF PROGRAM:
This project provides funding for new Education
Partnerships (EP) serving students in grades 6-12 who are disruptive and low-
performing, or non-disruptive, over age and credit deficient students requiring
credit recovery and dropout prevention services in grades 6-12.

FUNDING:
$2,800,000 to fund existing continuation
 
projects and new
 
Education
Partnerships projects.
 
 
ELIGIBILITY:
School districts, school district partners or regional education
consortiums that have not been funded since July 1, 2005, may apply for a new
project not for a previously funded program. The non-profit or non-for-profit
entity associated with the application must have at least three years experience
successfully serving this student population. District school boards and regional
education consortiums must contract with a non-profit or for-profit entity in order
to be eligible for funding.
