On the attached charts, you will see that the Florida Community College System

FTE enrollment increased by 18,302 FTE in 2001-2002 over 2000-2001. This is

an increase of 9.5%. Twenty-five colleges experienced a growth in FTE

enrollment over the prior year.

 

We are providing you with a five year FTE enrollment analysis. This covers the

period from 1996-97 to 2001-02. In this timeframe, FTE enrollment grew by

23,365 FTE or 12.4%.

 

The official projected enrollment estimates for 2002-03 are also attached to this

memorandum. The Enrollment Estimating Conference reviewed the projection of

229,406 on August 16, 2002. The Florida Community College System is expected

to serve an additional 17,626 FTE which represents an increase of 8.3%.

 

We will be revising the enrollment estimates in November after the submission of

the initial fall enrollment from the colleges to the Division.
