SUBJECT:
Strayer University Signed Articulation Agreement
The Articulation Agreement between the Florida Division of Community Colleges and Strayer
University was signed and went into effect on May 15, 2007. This Agreement provides
exceptional opportunities for Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), and Associate
in Applied Science (AAS) graduates from Florida’s community colleges to complete the
baccalaureate degree. It also serves as a testament to collaboration between the public and
independent sectors, and supports the Department of Education’s Goal #2 of seamless
articulation and maximum access, and Strategic Imperative #5, “Increase the Quantity and
Improve the Quality of Education Options.”
This Articulation Agreement provides some basic guarantees to our associate degree graduates,
including the transfer of credits to be applied toward the awarding of the baccalaureate degree
and completion of the general education requirements.
A copy of the agreement is attached to assist academic advisors at your respective institutions in
preparing students for transfer under this agreement. Additionally, this information will be
included in the next update of the Counseling for Future Education Handbook posted at
www.facts.org.
