2007 All-Florida Academic Team Recognition Event
The planning for the 2007 All-Florida Academic Team recognition event has begun. This event
reflects the Department’s commitment to the K-20 Strategic Plan’s goal of promoting high
student achievement. The program will be held in Tallahassee at the Florida State University
Center Club Ballroom on March 22, 2007. A Luncheon and Awards Ceremony will be held
from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., followed by a tour of the Capitol for the team members beginning
at 2:30 p.m. Please consider this memorandum an invitation to attend all of the scheduled

Sponsors for this year’s event include AIG VALIC and the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Florida
Region. I am very grateful for their continued support of these outstanding students.

their hotel and travel expenses so that they may attend. In addition, I encourage all of you to
participate in this ceremony as your presence makes a powerful statement to the students
