SUBJECT: EDUCATOR RECRUITMENT SERVICE FOR FLORIDA K-12 SCHOOL
DISTRICTS
In a continuing effort to recruit qualified education personnel for all Florida public schools,
effective May 1, 2006, the Florida Department of Education contracted with the web-based
recruitment service Teachers-Teachers.com. This service is designed to help those charged with
recruiting personnel meet the challenges of placing the most qualified education professionals in
Florida schools.
Florida school district recruiters use this service to post their available positions and search the
database of registered education personnel. The service is free to teachers, administrators,
speech pathologists and other related service personnel searching for a job in education.
Registering with the service enables candidates to:
•
Receive email notifications of job openings and announcements
regarding job fairs, incentive programs, mentoring programs, etc.
•
Electronically submit customized cover letters and a universal online
application to prospective employers
•
View the websites of school districts with job openings
•
Track their job search online
