SUBJECT:
2007 Congress-Bundestag Vocational Exchange Scholarship
Florida is once again participating in the Congress-Bundestag Vocational Exchange Scholarship
Program. This program supports the Department of Education’s Strategic Imperative to improve
student learning by providing world-class higher education opportunities. This
scholarship/exchange program is administered by the Nacel Open Door Student Exchange and
provides an opportunity for graduating high school seniors, who are enrolled in vocational
courses, to spend one year in Germany exploring their vocational interests. German language is
not required. Florida has participated in the program since 1992 and has been very well
represented each year.
Each high school in the state of Florida may nominate up to three students. Students must be
able to demonstrate the maturity and commitment necessary to be successful in an international
exchange program. Student applications will be reviewed by Nacel Open Door Student
Exchange and the Division of Community Colleges and Workforce Education to select ten
finalists. These finalists will be invited to an interview by a selection committee.
