2005-06 Florida Education Finance Program Final Calculation
This calculation incorporates 2005-06 full-time equivalent (FTE) students and supplemental
information prepared from the summation of July, October, February, and June survey data. The
2005 ad valorem tax roll certified by the Department of Revenue on August 29, 2006, was used
in the calculation of required and discretionary local effort.
In comparing the final calculation with the fourth calculation of the 2005-06 FEFP, the following
summary-level changes are noted:

Unweighted FTE increased by 1,683.75 from 2,639,437.54 to 2,641,121.29.

Funded weighted FTE increased by 2,048.04 from 2,891,824.49 to 2,893,872.53. The Group
2 overcap weighted FTE is 3,034.08; the undercap total is 17,070.64.

FEFP Base Funding increased by $7,762,155 from $10,819,879,138 to $10,827,641,293 as a
result of the funded weighted FTE increase.

Declining Enrollment decreased $1,483,054 from $20,425,562 to $18,942,508.

The Lab School Discretionary Contribution increased $72,666 from $2,030,008 to
$2,102,674.

Total Required Local Effort decreased $23,246,381 from $6,274,892,535 to $6,251,646,154.

Total Prior Year Adjustments are $27,596,643. Individual district amounts may be more
significant due to inclusion of net earned versus paid adjustments from the final 2004-05
calculation.

The amount withheld for the Opportunity Scholarship Program is $2,907,735 and for the
John M. McKay Scholarship Program is $108,700,343.
The differences between the final and fourth FEFP and Discretionary Lottery Calculations will
become adjustments to the 2006-07 FEFP Third Calculation and Discretionary Lottery
Calculations.
Distribution of funds from the attached calculation will take place following
completion of the 2006-07 FEFP Third Calculation.
