Summary
:
The 2006 Legislature added specific language to the A++ Plan (HB 7087) in Florida Statute
(F.S.) 1008.25(4)(b) regarding the implementation of a student progress monitoring plan or PMP.
Students presently in Department of Juvenile Justice educational facilities require an individual
academic plan or IAP, as stated in State Board of Education Rule 6A-6.05281(4)(a).
As the
PMP and IAP are closely aligned, the individual academic plan can be used to meet the
requirements for student progress monitoring plans.
The following table compares IAP requirements to student progress monitoring plan
requirements.
