Clarification Memorandum for Families Building Better Readers (FBBR) and

Mysteries

in

the

Middle

Training

This is a CLARIFICATION TO the second paragraph in the Families Building Better Readers

(FBBR) and Mysteries in the Middle Training memorandum sent out on September 8, 2006.

The following will clarify the intent on the payment issue for FBBR and Mysteries in the Middle

trainers. If a person is employed by a school district and conducts a parent workshop after their

normal work day, the school district can compensate them according to their district guidelines.

The intent of the Department of Education memorandum was to ensure that districts did not pay

trainers from outside their school district to conduct FBBR and Mysteries in the Middle parent

workshops.

Registration for the training has been extended until Friday, October 6
