SUBJECT: Technical Assistance Paper: Carryover Provisions for Title I, Part A, Programs

 

The Department of Education is pleased to provide a Technical Assistance Paper that addresses

federal and state requirements related to the carryover of funds awarded under Title I, Part A, of

the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) from one project budget period to the next budget period.

We appreciate your efforts to fully use these and other federal funds appropriately to meet the

needs of your students during the time period allowed. The attached Technical Assistance Paper

provides guidance to school districts and other local education agencies (LEAs) and answers

frequently asked questions in accordance with both the federal requirements and state policies

and procedures.
