    SUBJECT: Technical Assistance Paper, Asbestos Regulations and Charter Schools
      
     
    In support of the State Board of Education’s imperative to increase the quantity and improve the
    quality of educational options for Florida’s families, the Department is pleased to provide this
    technical assistance paper (TAP) on Asbestos Regulations and Charter Schools. The TAP
    provides guidance on federal regulations established to protect students, teachers, and other
    school employees from exposure to asbestos within schools.
     
    This document summarizes the Federal requirements and answers questions that the Department
    is frequently asked about charter schools and asbestos regulations.
