SUBJECT:
Undergraduate Nursing Degree Programs
House Bill 27E, Specific Item #161 has proviso language which states:
From the new funds provided to community colleges in Specific
Appropriation 161, each community college shall place a
priority on expanding access to undergraduate nursing degree
programs. Each community college shall prepare a report that
addresses how it plans to increase the number of nursing graduates
in the state for submission to the Florida Board of Education.
The Florida Board of Education shall submit a consolidated
report and recommendations to the Governor, the President of
the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives
by January 3, 2003.
We have created the attached form for each college to complete in order to gather
information for the consolidated report. Please submit this information to the attention of
Sally Kiser by e-mail no later than
September 16, 2002
