AMERICA INC. INTERNET SAFETY EDUCATION AND
TRAINING AVAILABLE FOR FLORIDA SCHOOL DISTRICTS
The Internet has dramatically changed the world and impacted lives. We help students keep up
with advances in technology, but we also need to help them stay safe online.
i-SAFE
America
Inc. is partnering with the Florida Department of Education and other educators around the
country to provide a prevention-oriented Internet safety education program for students in grades
K-12, which includes
FREE
professional development, K-12 curriculum, and resources for
parents and the community at large. The
i-SAFE
project is funded by the Office of Juvenile
Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
Participation in the
i-SAFE
Professional Development Program will prepare educators and law
enforcement professionals to:
•
?
educate students in the classroom on Internet safety concepts and practices
•
?
expand the program in their school district by conducting in-house
i-SAFE
professional
development programs
•
?
discuss with parents and community leaders the need for Internet safety and provide them
with practical safety tips
