Gordon Rule Writing Class Application Procedures
DUE FEBRUARY 13
The rules that govern the Gordon Rule writing classes have been changed by the Florida
Board of Governors. UCF has responded to this change by establishing new criteria for
Gordon Rule writing classes. These criteria are attached.
Programs that currently have authorized Gordon Rule writing classes must determine
whether or not their former Gordon Rule writing classes meet the new criteria.
1. If
your existin2:Gordon Rule class meets the new criteria (that are attached).
please send me a note statin2:that the course continues to satisfy the UCF Gordon
Rule writin2:standards. The course will then maintain its Gordon Rule writin2:
course status in the next Under2:raduateCatalo2:.
(If yOUhave a course with multiple sections. all sections must meet the new
Gordon Rule criteria for the course to be an authorized Gordon Rule
writin2:
course.)
2. If your existing Gordon Rule class does not meet the new criteria (attached),
please send me a note asking me to remove that course from the list of Gordon Rule
writing classes in the Undergraduate Catalog.
3. If!
do not hear about an existing Gordon Rule writing class by Feb 13, the course
will be removed from the list of authorized Gordon Rule writing classes in the
2006-2007
Undergraduate Catalog.

2006-2007
