Presentation Content
Presentations should focus on research, program components, and practices that
support implementation of the accountability provisions of Rule 6A-5.066, Florida
Administrative Code (www.firn.edu/doe/rules/6a-5.htm#6A-5.066), including specifically:

Collected evidence to show that each candidate is ready to impact student
achievement before completing a teacher education program
ƒ
 
Best methods, instruments, and classroom experiences to collect formative and
summative data on candidate performance related to student achievement
ƒ
 
Partnerships between postsecondary institutions and school districts that foster
varieties of classroom experiences with high-performing teachers.
Program/Participation Information
ƒ
 
Proposals must include all the information indicated below; this information will be
included in the conference materials and may be edited for this purpose.
ƒ
 
Presentations must be submitted as indicated below no later than June 12; these will
be reviewed and notification of acceptance made no later than June 30.
ƒ
 
Presentations should not exceed a total of 75 minutes, including at least 15 minutes
for participant questions/interaction.
ƒ
 
All communications will be with the designated contact person, who is responsible for
sharing information with other presenters as appropriate.
ƒ
 
Presenters or their sponsoring entities are responsible for registration and other
costs of participation.
ƒ
 
Masters of any handouts must be provided no later than July 21, or presenters must
provide onsite 150 copies, hole-punched, of such materials.

Set-Up/Audio-visual Needs—specify preferred room arrangement and equipment
needs. (Central Florida Community College has a variety of rooms for breakout
sessions, including labs equipped with computer and Internet capabilities for up to 32
participants, if this type of access is needed. Other rooms are set classroom style for
larger groups of session participants.
