SUBJECT:
Information for Development of the 2006-2007 College Operating Budgets
In our efforts to meet the Florida Department of Education’s Strategic Imperative Seven, to Align
Financial Resources with Performance, we are advising you that information and forms necessary for the
development of your college operating budgets are being electronically transmitted to your Budget
Officers and Comptrollers. The transmitted information will contain the following items: standard Fall
2006 fee rates and discretionary fees, fee waivers, retirement, service charge, baccalaureate programs,
travel allowances, Florida Information Resource Network and restricted appropriations.
Pursuant to State Board of Education Rule 6A-14.0716, Florida Administrative Code, the community
college operating budgets are due to the Division of Community Colleges
no later than June 30, 2006
.
In addition, the operating budgets for the baccalaureate programs are being sent to the appropriate
colleges. Early submission will be appreciated. Please be sure that the completed forms are submitted by
e-mail to Sophia.Gaines@fldoe.org. The hard copies should also be returned to Sophia Gaines,
Community College Office of Budget and Financial Services, 325 West Gaines Street, Suite 1224,
Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0400.
