    New DELTA School Leadership Development Website
    I am pleased to announce the
    DELTA School Leadership Development Program
    ’s new website.
    Improving the quality of school leadership at all levels is a priority of the Department of Education.
    The purpose of the DELTA program is to improve student achievement and sustain that
    achievement by providing school leaders with the tools and support they need to be high
    performing instructional leaders. The DELTA program, supported through the website, helps to
    ensure that Florida’s Principal Leadership Standards are implemented through high-quality
    professional development provided to our current and aspiring school leaders.
    The DELTA website is located at http://www.DeltaSchoolLeaders.org and has been designed to
    provide Florida’s school leaders with easy access to all elements of the DELTA program. Features
    include:

    In developing the DELTA program, The Florida Department of Education has partnered with
    leading developers and providers of high-quality professional development for our state’s school

    The Department is providing statewide capacity building for DELTA resources and tools by training
    cadres of district/regional master trainers, developing the comprehensive DELTA website, and
    providing a coordinated statewide program for leadership development. We strongly encourage
    your district to incorporate the DELTA school leadership development resources into your district’s
    program for current and aspiring school leaders.
