    DOE/FLAG Workshop for Teachers New to Gifted Education
    In support of the mission of the Department of Education (DOE) to assist school districts in providing
    quality, efficient service
    s to all Florida students, the DOE and the Florida Association for the Gifted (FLAG)
    are pleased to announce the DOE/FLAG Workshop for Teachers New to Gifted Education to be held on July
    13, 2006, in Daytona Beach, Florida. The workshop will provide:

    information about differentiating instruction strategies for gifted students;
    ?
    •
     
    opportunity to learn about the Renzulli Learning Systems;
    ?
    •
     
    tips for working with students at different grade levels; and
    ?
    •
     
    opportunities for networking and mentoring with veteran gifted teachers.
    ?
    There is no registration fee; however, all travel expenses are the responsibility of the individual participant or
    school district.
    Please feel free to make additional copies of the attached brochure to disseminate information to interested
    school personnel. We look forward to providing a meaningful professional growth opportunity for teachers
    new to gifted education!
