K-12 PUBLIC SCHOOL OPTIONS WEBSITE

We are pleased to announce the new K-12 Public School Options website designed specifically
to maximize resources for students, parents, educators, and providers related to public school
options for families. This site provides valuable information related to No Child Left Behind
public school choices including supplemental educational services and choice with
transportation. The site also includes resources related to other public school choice options
such as magnet schools and career academies and can be easily navigated to a wealth of
educational resources and technical assistance.

To access the K-12 Public School Options website, simply select
Public School Options
from
Hot Topics
on the Department’s home page at http://www.fldoe.org/ or directly access the
website at http://www.firn.edu/doe/flbpso. Department staff designed a brochure to announce
the website. Under separate cover, we will forward multiple copies of the brochures to th
e
District Title I Directors. You may wish to print additional copies to use in parent outreach
efforts and also as a resource for your school staff. You may access the electronic version of
the brochure on our website by clicking “Materials” under “Hot Topics” on our homepage.
