SUBJECT:
Postsecondary Adult Vocational to A.A.S/A.S. Degree Articulation
On February 22, 2006, the Department of Education Articulation Coordinating Committee
approved eleven (11) statewide articulation agreements between Postsecondary Adult Vocational
certificate programs and related Associate in Applied Science and Associate in Science Degrees.
This supports efforts to improve student opportunities for access and advancement as stated in
the Department’s Strategic Imperative 8.
These agreements are the result of several months of work by a statewide articulation workgroup
comprised of stakeholders from the school district technical center programs, community
colleges, and the Department.
Attached is a chart summarizing the approved agreements. Full text of the agreements can be
found on the Department’s Workforce Education web site located at:
http://www.firn.edu/doe/dwdframe/index.html.
These agreements will also be entered into the Statewide Articulation Manual that is located on
the FACTS.org web site: http://www.facts.org/cgi-bin/eaglec.
