Leveraging Laptops: Effective Models for
Enhancing Student Achievement
We are pleased to provide you with electronic access to a Request for Proposal (RFP) concerning the 2005-06
Title II, Part D: Enhancing Education Through Technology Grant Program. This document provides guidance
and instructions necessary to apply for competitive funding to develop models for enhancing student
achievement through the integration of laptop computers as tools for teaching and learning in the classroom.
The EETT Part II Competitive RFP and Application may be obtained from the following website:

Applicants are encouraged to present innovative proposals supported by current scientifically based research.

Research Oversight Committee
will be appointed to ensure high quality project designs. It is essential that
all students develop 21

century skills, and the professional development opportunities provided through this
program are intended to support achievement of that goal. Establishing and replicating effective technology
integration methods and practices are key purposes of the federal EETT initiative.
