SUBJECT:
The Talented 20 Program Class of 2006–Logon ID (Identification)
Florida continues to focus on maximizing student achievement and student access to
postsecondary education opportunities. In order to facilitate the evaluation of high school
transcripts for the Talented 20 program, we plan to add a Talented 20 program link to the Florida
Department of Education’s (FDOE) website in January 2006.
This program link will provide high school counselors and other identified educators with the
opportunity to view district and school student eligibility data online. In the past student
eligibility reports were available at the Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC) for districts
to download the day after the data were submitted. Beginning with the identification of the top
20% of the graduating class of 2006 for the Talented 20 program, district-identified educators
will download student eligibility reports online from the new program link located on the FDOE
website.
To view district or high school student eligibility data, educators will have an established
Talented 20 Program Logon ID. The logon ID will be separate from the Bright Futures Logon
ID, yet similar in format.
We request your assistance in the selection of educators that will be assigned a logon ID in order
to have access to the program student eligibility reports. The attached,
Talented 20 Program
Logon ID Access List,
includes existing Bright Futures IDs and proposed Talented 20 IDs. We
are making the assumption that the same educators who have access to the Bright Futures system

will also need access to the Talented 20 system. The Talented 20 ID will be separate from the
Bright Futures ID in that its first two characters will be “T2” instead of “OB.”
Two levels of access are provided to the Talented 20 system. Educators can either have access to
eligibility reports for a single school (in which case the school’s Master School ID number must
be provided), or for all schools in the district (in which case the word “District” must be entered).
Please edit the attached list to identify your educators who need access to the Talented 20
system.
Please submit the list by
